Students created great replica's of Galileo's thermoscope! The students really liked using the Chemix website!

Today we reviewed over how the first type of thermometer worked, an air thermometer, know as a thermoscope. It was invented by Galileo.

Then, we had a great presentation completed by Mr. Lundrigan about our wood stove thermometer that we use when trying to determine the best burn for our stove. He discussed wood stove safety, expansion of metals, the oxygen draft, etc.
