We will be having an in-class assignment on Friday, December 13th instead of a test. It will be only everything up to but not including percents. We will assess that after the break with a quiz. The in-class assignment is open book, meaning you can use your book and notes if you would like. My advice is to put some time into your math and make sure you know what you are doing. If you wait until the day of the in-class assignment, you will not perform very well.

Since some students today seemed to be surprised.... yes, your test is still on Tuesday. The one we have been talking about for about 2 weeks now. :) It is on Unit 3a, Operations with decimals. This includes adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and order of operation questions.
So if you can do this:

3.2 x 9.5 - 25.11 รท (8 - 7.1) + 4

without a calculator, and get 6.5 for an answer then you are doing alright.

REMEMBER, practice makes perfect! The more you do, the better your mark will be. Assignments will be passed back tomorrow.
