Today we finished up Chapter 2 with a viewing of 'When World's Collide' which looks at the impact of Contact on First Nations/Inuit communities and why the Europeans came to North America.

Students received their exit cards from yesterday. While not a report card mark, it was a measure of how well they understood the material. I went over the material again and students can read over pages 36-38 and re-do the exit card on Wednesday to demonstrate their new level of understanding of the material. After the re-write I will post the mark (though it won't factor into their grades)

Today we read some of our read aloud, Schooled. We then had some pre-writing discussion based on the story, 'Resisting Hitler.'

Tomorrow, students will be doing a practice listening quiz which we will correct in class.

We will continue to work on the 'Resisting Hitler' selection in our text on Monday. Our focus will be on character and connections.
